Birgit drove me to the airport. I travelled with Rainer Eisch, who is the artist from Düsseldorf currently residing in the Booth in Shetland for the Scotland-Dusseldorf Exchange. While we were sitting and waiting to depart, drinking coffee and munching my croissant, Birgit gave me a going-away gift. It is a scarf decorated with roses. I started to wear it immediately, and I wear it often in Shetland. It reminds me constantly of my experience of Roseland at Malkasten in Düsseldorf.
